PAYMENTS
To set up payments online for a booking system or purchases through your website, or to be able to email customers an invoice, there are a variety of services available, such as:
- Worldpay
- PayPal
- Square
- Stripe
- Sage Pay
We use Stripe for website purchases and appointment payments. Stripe has lots of customisable options, you can have a series of products and prices, set subscription or reoccurring payments, and send invoices.
You are also able to personalise your Stripe account by adding branding colours and your business’ logo. Stripe’s current fees are 1.4% plus 20p per transaction for UK payments, higher for payments being made on non-EU cards.
Stripe integrates well with both Squarespace scheduling and Cliniko.
ACCOUNTS
All small businesses need to keep a record of their transactions for tax purposes. Here is a list of the main companies:
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- Sage
- Tally
We use QuickBooks, which is a full-featured business and financial management suite with tools for accounting, inventory, payroll, tax filing, invoicing, bank account tracking and reconciliation, expense management, budgeting, payment processing and more.
