Join us live on 8th July for this essential Masterclass with Paediatric Dietitian Emma Shafqat, created for professionals working with families in early infancy.
Cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA) is one of the most commonly misdiagnosed food allergies in infancy. Its symptoms often resemble other typical infant issues, leading to both overdiagnosis and missed cases. While not usually seen in the very early weeks, CMPA can develop at any point in the first year.
This session will give you evidence-based guidance on recognising and supporting CMPA, including how symptoms may present differently in breastfed versus formula-fed babies, how to approach diagnosis, and when testing is or isn’t helpful. Emma will also explore the wider impact on feeding, maternal wellbeing, and bonding, as well as how to safely introduce solids in babies with suspected or confirmed CMPA. Differential diagnoses will also be covered to support confident, accurate decision-making.
Ideal for Lactation Consultants, Midwives, Doulas, Health Visitors, and other Perinatal Professionals working with infants. Includes a live Q&A, 3-month replay access, a short quiz, and a CPD certificate.
