Background

These Standard Terms & Conditions, together with any referenced documents, outline the terms under which The Infant Feeding Academy provides its courses, training programs, masterclasses, workshops, and live study days. Please review these terms carefully before purchasing a place in any program, course, masterclass, workshop, live study day or by registering for any free webinar (hereafter referred to as “course or program”). By enrolling, you agree to be bound by these Standard Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you will not be permitted to participate.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In these Standard Terms & Conditions, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • “Account”: The online account created for you to access course or program materials.
  • “Agreement”: The contract between you and The Infant Feeding Academy.
  • “Commencement Date”: The date on which you purchase a place in the course or program.
  • “Confidential Information”: Any sensitive or proprietary information shared within the course or program.
  • “Course or Program”: Any course, training program, masterclass, workshop, live study day or free webinar provided by The Infant Feeding Academy or Birth, Baby & You.
  • “Data Protection Legislation”: UK laws governing data protection, including GDPR.
  • “Deposit”: Any deposit required as part of the Fees.
  • “Enrolling/Enrollment”: Purchasing a place in a course, training program, masterclass, workshop or live study day, or registering for any free Webinar.
  • “Fees”: The total cost of the course or program.
  • “Intellectual Property Rights”: Rights related to copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and other materials provided.
  • “Live Sessions”: Scheduled online or in-person coaching sessions.
  • “Program Materials”: All digital and physical resources provided.
  • “Program Participant”: Any individual enrolled in a course, training program, masterclass, workshop, live study day or free webinar.
  • “Term”: The duration of the course or program, including any time prior to the start date.
  • “Us” or “We”: The Infant Feeding Academy and/or Birth, Baby & You.
  • “You”: The individual enrolling in the course or program.

2. Personal Information

2.1. Information Collected

As a purchaser of a course or training program, you have provided the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your home address
  • Your telephone number(s)
  • Any other personal information that you may provide in communication with us.

2.2. Who is this information shared with?

The Infant Feeding Academy keeps your information confidential and will not sell or disclose it to other participants or third parties. You can see our full Privacy Policy here.

2.3. Business Publicity

If applicable to the Course or program you are enrolling in, and you wish, The Infant Feeding Academy will publicise your business information and relevant details on the Birth, Baby & You website for one year from your course completion date. This will continue as long as you remain registered.

3. Agreement and Term

3.1. The Agreement is made between You and The Infant Feeding Academy, under which we provide the course or program as described in these terms.

3.2. These Terms & Conditions constitute the parties’ agreement and understanding regarding the services provided.

3.3. The Agreement begins on the Commencement Date and continues for the duration of your course or program as stated in the individual product descriptions, or for the duration listed in the individual product descriptions if there is no set start date, unless terminated per Sections 6, 14, or 16.

3.4. You confirm that you are entering this Agreement as a professional, not as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

4. Course and Program Content (Please scroll to the applicable course/program)

4.1. The Infant Feeding Coach™ – Advanced Practitioner Pathway Include:

  • FEDANT Accredited Certificate (on successful completion of all elements of the program).
  • Live and pre-recorded training sessions.
  • Access to online program materials for the duration of your program.
  • Membership to the Infant Feeding Collective Facebook community.
  • Monthly group mentoring calls for the duration of your program.
  • Bonus masterclasses/workshops from expert practitioners, including quizzes and certificates for your CPD.
  • Registration with The Infant Feeding Academy for the duration of your program.
  • Royalty-free support materials for your own clients.

4.2. VIP Option Only:

  • One face-to-face mentoring training day at the clinic.
  • One 1:1 mentoring call.

4.3. Advanced Perinatal Coaching Certification includes:

  • Live and pre-recorded training sessions.
  • Access to online program materials for the duration of your program.
  • Membership to any relevant Facebook communities set up by The Infant Feeding Academy.

4.4. ‘Accredited Tongue-tie Assessor’ Award includes:

  • FEDANT Accredited Certificate (on successful completion of all elements of the program).
  • Access to online program materials and pre-recorded sessions for the duration of your program.
  • Membership to any relevant Facebook communities set up by The Infant Feeding Academy.
  • One face-to-face mentoring training day at the clinic.
  • Monthly group mentoring calls for the duration of your program.
  • Bonus masterclasses/workshops from expert practitioners, including quizzes and certificates for your CPD.
  • Registration with The Infant Feeding Academy for the duration of your program.
  • Royalty-free support materials for your own clients.

4.5. ‘Supporting Families with Infant Tongue-tie’ Certificate includes:

  • Certificate upon completion.
  • Access to online program materials and pre-recorded sessions for the duration of your program.
  • Membership to any relevant Facebook communities set up by The Infant Feeding Academy.

4.6. Masterclasses & Workshops include:

  • If purchasing prior to event:
    • Access to live session, and replay for 3 months after publication.
  • If purchasing after event as an instant-access replay:
    • Access to replay for 3 months after purchase, or 3 months after publication – whichever date is later.
  • Access to a quiz and certificate for your CPD for 3 months after purchase.

4.7. In-Person Events include:

  • Any inclusions detailed in the description of the event.

4.8. Free Live/Pre-recorded Webinars include:

  • If registering prior to event:
    • Access to live session, and replay for a designated period of time post-event.
  • If registering after event as an instant-access replay:
    • Access to replay for a designated period of time post-event.

4.3. Any courses, training programs, masterclasses, workshops, and live study days are delivered by The Infant Feeding Academy as an independent provider. No employment, agency, or fiduciary relationship is created.

4.4. The Infant Feeding Academy reserves the right to modify all content as needed.

4.5. While we provide training and certification, we do not guarantee specific professional outcomes.

5. Live Sessions

5.1. Live and Group sessions will be scheduled in advance. You understand:

  • Session dates and times may vary.
  • If you miss a session, recordings may be available, but no refunds will be provided.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1. Fees are payable:

  • In monthly instalments, if available, or
  • As a single payment (there may be a discount for paying in a single payment).

6.2. If you opt to pay by monthly instalments and this option is available for your chosen course or program, you are committing to completing all monthly payments.

6.3. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of any applicable course. However, if paying in monthly instalments, The Infant Feeding Academy reserves the right to delay issuing the certificate until full payment has been made.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. All course or program Materials remain the property of The Infant Feeding Academy and Birth, Baby & You.

7.2. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access the materials for personal use and to provide unedited to your clients whilst registered with The Infant Feeding Academy.

7.3. You shall not reproduce, copy, sell, trade, resell, or exploit any materials for commercial purposes or for other courses or teachings.

7.4. If you become aware of any intellectual property infringement, you must notify The Infant Feeding Academy in writing immediately.

8. Confidentiality and Non-Disparagement

8.1. Each party shall keep confidential all sensitive information relating to the other and their business.

8.2. Neither party shall use confidential information for any purpose other than that for which it was provided.

8.3. You agree not to engage in conduct or communication, public or private, intended to disparage The Infant Feeding Academy.

8.4. You agree to allow your name and face (via a webcam or profile photo) to be visible during video conferencing sessions.

9. Client Conduct

9.1. You agree to behave professionally and respectfully in all dealings related to the course or program, with The Infant Feeding Academy and other participants.

9.2. You agree to adhere to any course or program rules provided by The Infant Feeding Academy.

10. Liability and Indemnity

10.1. The Infant Feeding Academy’s liability is limited to the total charges paid under this Agreement.

10.2. The Infant Feeding Academy does not accept liability for:

  • Any personal information shared within the course or program.
  • Any business or personal outcomes resulting from the course or program.

11. Use of AI & Writing Assistance Tools

11.1. You are strictly prohibited from using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., language models or content generators, including but not limited to Chat GPT, Grammarly, Google LM) for coursework. This is due in part, but not limited to:

    • Inaccuracy: AI-generated content may contain factual errors, inconsistencies, or outdated information, leading to inaccurate submissions that could negatively impact learning.
    • Lack of critical thinking: Workbooks are designed to develop independent analysis and understanding. Using AI undermines critical thinking and active engagement with the material.
    • Plagiarism concerns: Submitting AI-generated content as one’s own work is considered plagiarism, violating academic integrity. Students must complete work independently.

11.2. Any AI-generated work will not be marked, and may result in disciplinary action, such as failing the assignment or course, meaning the qualification will not be attained.

11.3. All sourced content must be properly referenced, or it will be considered plagiarism.

11.4. You agree to The Infant Feeding Academy using AI-detection software where AI use is suspected.

12. Medical Advice and Treatment Agreement

12.1. Participation in any courses or programs from The Infant Feeding academy does not grant permission to diagnose or claim to treat medical conditions beyond your scope of practice.

12.2. Your advice does not replace professional medical consultation.

12.3. You agree to report any concerns about the course or program to The Infant Feeding Academy immediately.

13. IFA Registration & Membership

13.1. Upon purchasing any applicable course or program, you will be registered with The Infant Feeding Academy for 12 months from the start date of your course or program.

13.2. To continue using the Infant Feeding Coach™ title, or any other titles provided by The Infant Feeding Academy on completion of a relevant course or program, you must renew registration and complete CPD requirements.

13.3. Registration fees are payable in 12 monthly instalments.

13.4. You are able to join The Infant Feeding Academy as a member without completion of a relevant course or program. You can find more information here.

14. Cancellation and Refund Policy

14.1. Refunds will only be provided within 14 days of purchase, if cancellation occurs at least 14 days prior to the start date.

14.2. No refunds will be given once the course or program has started.

14.3. Cancellation of registration requires written notice.

15. Photos and Recordings

15.1. You agree for recordings that may include your image, voice, and name to be used for training and educational purposes.

15.2. You shall not distribute or share any recordings outside the course or program.

16. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved within these legal jurisdictions.
