Punctuality
Our sessions begin promptly at the scheduled time, so please refer to the Practitioner Program for specific details and make every effort to join a few minutes early.
Each session is packed with essential learning, and starting on time helps maintain a smooth and focused flow. Late arrivals can disrupt the session and mean you miss key content right from the start.
Please treat this time as sacred—a dedicated space for your professional growth. Prioritising punctuality reflects your commitment to this journey and the depth of care you bring to your work as a perinatal practitioner.
You are expected to attend all live sessions as part of your commitment to the program. We understand, however, that life occasionally throws up the unexpected. Therefore, one missed session will be accepted, if absolutely necessary.
Recordings of the live teaching sessions (excluding breakout groups) will be uploaded to the course platform within 5 working days. If you do need to miss a session, it is your responsibility to catch up before the next live session to stay on track with the course content. As breakout discussions are not recorded, you may wish to connect with fellow participants to fill in any gaps.
If you know in advance that you’ll be unable to attend a session, please email us at info@theinfantfeedingacademy.co.uk so that we can log this on your attendance record.
Showing Up with Intention
Please approach each session as you would if you were attending a college or professional training course. Be seated upright at a desk or table, in a well-lit space, with your full face clearly visible on camera—not just an ear, forehead, or a light fitting! This helps create a focused, respectful, and engaging learning environment for everyone.
Have your pens, paper, workbook, and any other materials ready before the session starts so you can participate fully without distractions.
Refreshments: You’re very welcome to have a drink during the session, but we kindly ask that you have your dinner before or after the call to maintain the professionalism and flow of the session.
Camera’s on please!
As this is an accredited program, it’s essential that we can see you’re present, engaged, and actively participating in each session.
Many of our sessions include interactive group work and breakout room discussions, where you’ll be collaborating with fellow practitioners on live assignments and coaching exercises. These experiences simply don’t work if someone has turned off their camera or stepped away from their screen.
Having your camera on, with your face clearly visible, helps us create a more connected and collaborative learning environment—and ensures we can properly support your progress throughout the course.
