Study day: 'Introduction to Understanding and Assessing Infant Tongue-tie'
6 hours (in person event)
Topics of the day will include:
- The Anatomy of the Lingual Frenulum
- An Introduction to Tongue-tie Assessment tools in the UK
- Assessing Tongue function in infants
- Supporting tongue-tied babies in practice
- Common causes for feeding challenges
When frenulotomy is not the answer – support from other disciplines - A ‘word’ about lip-ties (labial frenulum), TOTs, and future difficulties
The study day will be accompanied by a Workbook for your CPD and 3 months access to the ‘Introduction to Understanding Infant Tongue-tie’ Masterclass.
Who is this training for? The study day ‘Introduction to Understanding and Assessing Infant Tongue-tie’ is suitable for NICU Nurses, Midwives, Health Visitors, Infant Feeding Coaches/Breastfeeding Counsellors, IBCLCs, Birth Workers, Maternity Nurses, Speech Therapists, Dentists, Doctors.
Training can take place at your place of work, or other suitable venue supplied by the participants
