Welcome to Understanding Tongue-tie: The complexities of definition and diagnosis
Welcome to this blended learning program: Understanding Tongue-tie: The Complexities of Definition and Diagnosis.
This course is taught at two levels:
Foundation: Supporting Families with Infant Tongue-tie Certificate
Advanced: Accredited Tongue-tie Assessor Award.
The unique format of this training gives you flexible and accessible online course materials, plus, if you are studying the Assessor Award you also have the opportunity to get involved with live discussions on infant feeding topics at our Monthly Monday Mentoring sessions, facilitated by Dee Bell RM, IBCLC, and Specialist Tongue-tie Practitioner to get your questions answered.
We have created this course for dedicated practitioners to deepen their knowledge and understanding of assessment for infant tongue function, in relation to feeding. Our aim is for you to gain in-depth knowledge and a greater awareness of the different perspectives of other professions and professionals so that you can better support the families in your care.
Our mission is to create a community where families are better supported with their infant feeding choices and Perinatal Practitioners and Health Professionals are better informed on how to do this.
Our aim is for you to deepen your understanding around tongue-tie, how this can impact infant feeding choices, and how you can personally affect health outcomes for generations to come.
The program is taught via the use of online materials, workbook completion, and interactive discussions, in addition to your own research.
We can’t wait for you to begin!
